IT collaboration results in call centre for Women's Day Initiative

Thanks to the collaboration of Atio, Tarsus Technologies and StorTech, the SABC and Nedbank Women's Day Initiative has received sponsorship worth close to R3m.

Atio has donated an Interactive Intelligence call centre, three years services and support, marketing material and furniture. Atio will also provide technical training and the provision of all technical services required to ensure the efficient running of the call centre.

"The call centre will enable The Women's Day Call Centre to handle large call volumes during its fund-raising campaign," says Chris van der Sande, CEO of Atio. "The call centre, which includes a help line, will assist The Women's Day Initiative with its extensive marketing, as well as additional fundraising campaigns over the next three years."

StorTech sponsored the office space. "The impact that women make in our communities is significant. We are honoured to be part of the campaign, to play an active role in the greater communities that we serve," says Tim Knowles, CEO of StorTech.

"Tarsus Technologies has provided all the hardware, including HP desktops and printers. This equipment will assist the call centre with its day-to-day computing and printing requirements," says Jamie Scott, director at Tarsus Technologies.

"Thanks to the immense generosity of the IT sector, the Women's Day Initiative is now able to raise greater awareness. We are extremely grateful to all of our sponsors whose involvement will lead to a huge improvement in the organisation's fundraising capacity and long-term sustainability," says Noelene Kotschan of Fig-Jam Marketing, the event organiser.

The call centre goes live on July 31.
